Now has new frets and bone nut, executed by Melbournes master luthier Craig O‘Donnell whose guitars can be seen in Los Angeles and London as well here in Melbourne.
This is probably the oldest Ibanez ‘law suit‘ period guitar we’ve seen.
It is well documented that Fuji / Hoshino shipped guitars to certain territories unbranded to facilitate importers putting their own label on to suit local markets and existing product lines. UK had CSL and Antoria, Australia had Electa and Gonzalez. Shown is a 1971/2 English trade catalog from CSL, clearly showing this guitar with nothing on the head stock.
Great guitar with a bit of historical mojo; shipped in modern case that’s a perfect fit.
Coincidentally the only other one we can find is in Guitar Village, Farnham UK, owned by friend and former colleague of the owner of this shop.
